Rehabilitation of the Kirkuk-Baghdad-Diyala Road - Projects for the entrances to the capital..

The project spans 7722 meters, starting from Al-Karrada Martyrs Park and ending at the outskirts of Al-Nasoor Square, passing through Al-Aaras Island to reduce traffic congestion on Abu Nuwas Street, at the entrance of Baghdad University and Al-Nahrain, facilitating traffic flow between Al-Karkh and Al-Rusafa in two separate directions using state-of-the-art construction techniques in collaboration with the French company Vinci, marking the first time in Iraq that four main bridges, each 3980 meters long, are being constructed, along with interchange bridges featuring ascending and descending ramps, three in total at the Al-Qadisiyah site, in addition to primary traditional dirt roads totaling 3742 meters.

The project includes the construction of Abu Nuwas Bridge along the banks of the Tigris River parallel to the current Abu Nuwas Road, spanning 1950 meters with a width of 85 meters in one direction, starting from Al-Karrada Martyrs Park and ending after the suspension bridge by a distance of 150 meters, passing beneath it.

Opposite the new Central Bank building, a bridge 700 meters long and 85 meters wide in one direction is planned, as well as the new Jadriyah Bridge spanning the Tigris River at 520 meters with a width of 20 meters in two directions between Al-Aaras Island and Al-Nahrain University.

The new Al-Qadisiyah Bridge will be 810 meters long for the first part, with a width of 20 meters for the first part and 17 meters for the second part, in two different directions.

These four bridges will be interconnected through traditional roads with access ramps.
